The IT-2221 tag is a radio frequency (RF) – programmable,
battery powered transponder designed for electronic toll and
traffic management (ETTM) and other intelligent transportation
system (ITS) applications requiring high-speed, two-way
communications. |
Features:
- Enclosed Lithium Battery with extended, 8-year life.
- Sleep Mode operation – Transponder remains inactive until lane
equipment activates tag for identification ('read').
- Enclosed audio indicator (Buzzer) that emits a tone when the
transponder is 'read' at a location. Note - This feature is
designed into the transponder, but will not operate until each lane
is upgraded with the Type II technology lane equipment (Readers and
antennae).
- Multimode Operation allowing transponder to communicate within
different electronic toll collection (ETC) operating standards.
- Size: 4.5 x 2.5 x 0.7 in.
Mounting Instructions:
- Clean the inside of the windshield around the rearview mirror
with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.
- Remove the clear plastic tape from the back mounting strips on
the PIKEPASS.
- Position the PIKEPASS out of drivers view – directly behind or
to the right of the rearview mirror (as indicated).
- Press the PIKEPASS firmly against the glass.
